In January 2000, the Municipality of Beirut donated 300 square meters in a depressed, but centrally located, neighborhood in close proximity to 23 public schools to be the future home of Beirut's first municipal public library. A year later, after renovating, furnishing, and equipping the space, Assabil opened Beirut's first municipal public library in Bachoura, funded by the Conseil Régional d'Ile de France and the Municipality of Beirut.
The Municipal Public Library in Bachoura is located on the third floor of the Issaaf Building in Bachoura, Beirut. Opening hours and contact details on the right side of the page. |
