Municipal Public Library of Geitawi

Beirut's second municipal public library is located in a public garden in east Beirut--in a space provided for this purpose by the Municipality of Beirut. Because of its location in a garden, the second library focuses on the environment.

The Conseil Regional d’Ile de France, which provided the bulk of the financial support for the first library, has provided financial support for the second library.

You can reach the library by phone at 01-562677. Although we plan to expand the library’s hours, the library is currently open only during these times: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 am until 1 pm; Friday and Saturday from 9 am until 1 pm and from 3 pm until 7 pm.
