Municipal Public Library of Bachoura

In January 2000, the Municipality of Beirut donated 300 square meters in a depressed, but centrally located, neighborhood in close proximity to 23 public schools to be the future home of Beirut’s first municipal public library. A year later, after renovating, furnishing, and equipping the space, Assabil opened Beirut’s first municipal public library in Bachoura.

The Municipal Public Library in Bachoura is located on the third floor of the Issaaf Building in Bachoura, Beirut. You can reach the library by phone at 01-667701 or 667702. The library is open from 9 am until 1 pm and from 3 pm until 7 pm Tuesday through Saturday. The library is open on Mondays for specially scheduled activities.
